Manuel Neuer’s summer switch from Schalke to Bayern was agreed and announced a week ago, and the last piece of the deal bringing the Germany goalkeeper to the nation’s biggest club fell into place late on Wednesday morning: the 25-year-old passed the obligatory medical in Munich, and signed the five-year contract keeping him in Bavaria until 30 June 2016.

“I’m looking forward to the challenge, to my first training sessions, and to the training camp,” Neuer declared in an exclusive FCB.tv interview. The shot-stopper has only previously been to the Bavarian capital as a visitor, “but I’m not a tourist any more. I know my way around Munich and I think I’ll settle down well here.”

Following Germany’s 3-1 Euro 2012 qualifying victory away to Azerbaijan, Neuer only arrived back in Frankfurt in the small hours of the morning, but immediately flew on to Munich to complete the formalities of his transfer. “I’m fit enough to get though the day, although I’ve not really had enough sleep,” he reported. The four-hour flight from Baku to Frankfurt arrived at around 5 am local time.

Tired but happy

Despite the fatigue, the new signing appeared in upbeat spirits when he met up with FCB director of sport Christian Nerlinger at club head chef Alfons Schuhbeck’s downtown restaurant. Last week’s announcement of his move to Bayern had been “a relief,” Neuer admitted. “I’m delighted it’s all behind me now.”

The Gelsenkirchen-born keeper said no other club had come into consideration, neither in his home country nor abroad. “I’m very happy in Germany, I’m the national team goalkeeper, and Bayern Munich is the best club in Germany. That's why I wanted to join Bayern,” explained Neuer, who is now aiming for “personal success, and success with the club” in the seasons to come.

It's not necessary look for the name, right? After all, they looks like twins! The both plays football since 1997 when they began in Greifswalder SC, where their father worked as a coach on youth soccer club. After they move to Hansa Rostock.

Toni Kroos went to Bayern Munich and Felix he continued in Rostock until 2010, when Werder Bremem brought him for 150.000 €. The young footballer has played 6 games on new team and already was in a Champions League match, against Tottenham. Felix already is on Germany under 21.

The goalkeeper Manuel Neuer is considered one of the main promises of German football. Early on, Neuer is regarded as a prodigy at Schalke 04, who's since five years. Frequent presence on selections from the base, he won the shirt holder of the club aged just 20 and became a substitute for Jen Lehmann. In 2007, a year after becoming an owner in your club, Neuer was named best goalkeeper of the German championiship.

His most shining moment occurred the following year at Schalke 04 clash with Porto in the Champions League. After making miraculous saves, goalkeeper took the match to penalty kicks, defending two charges that gave his team a spot in the quarterfinals of the competition.

In 2010, the athlete was in South Africa with the German team. Germany played a good World Cup campaign, but fell in the semifinals against Spain. Still, the team still finished in third place by beating Uruguay. Manuel Neuer appeared to the world in the World Cup. A lot of great european teams, like Liverpool and Manchester United have tried to hire him, but He already sad he will stay at Schalke until the end of this season.

Recently, Schalke arrived to the Champions League semi-finals and the young goalkeeper was the best of the his team. The "Royal blues" lost to Manchester United, but the Neuer was the hero on first game. More than 18 shoots to goal and he only couldn't defend 2! 






He won't signs with Schalke on this season and all show that he's going to Bayern Munich, the biggest team of Germany. Let's see what happens. On summer windom of transfers I'll be able to write here what will be the new Manuel Neuer team.

Nuri Sahin in Real Madrid

On Monday the Bundesliga star Nuri Sahin signs with Real Madrid.(by Spanish newspapers). Sahin will be the third turkish-german on Spanish team. The young footballer was the main player on Borussia midfield.

Dortmund is the German champion in 2011!

Dortmund with a new goalkeeper

Tomorrow Borussia Dortmund plays against Bayern Munich in Allianz Arena Stadium. But the team will play in Munich with a new goalkeeper, the autralian Mitch Langerak , because Weidenfeller won't be able to stay on macht.

Bayern and Dortmund??? No! This was the Köln and Schalke weekend :P

hehehe... This wasn't the Bayern day... the German giant lost for Podolski's team Köln (3-2) and yesterday the first place Borussia Dortmun didn't win Schalke 04 on biggest Bundesliga derby. About Schalke, actually the match was Neuer vs Dortmund. The young goalkeeper defended all attacks! It was really incredible =D

Bundesliga derby: Dortmund vs Schalke

Borussia Dortmund vs Schalke 04 is tradicional derby in Germany. But this game is special because there’s interessant thing. The both team made diferents choices at the season beginning and now are in diferent situations at the moment in Bundesliga.

Schalke brought some experienced (or old :P) footballers like Huntelaar and Raul. But the team didn’t play well, lost a lot and was in bad positions on last turn. The team needed some months for improve.

On the other hand, its nothern neighbor Dortmund bet on young footballers and was very lucky in its choice. The team is the fist place at Bundesliga and has revealed talents. Mario Götze (18 years old!) and Kevin Großkreutz already are on DFB-team (German National team) official page. Jürgen Klopp has made a great job with these boys!

However, in Gelsenkirchen, Felix Magath hasn’t the same Kloop luck. Schalke fans are very angry this week with the coach. Well let’s see what happens tomorrow…

Best young German Footballers

The last post was about german promisses for football in the future but today I'll write about footballers that already are a reality! Everyone remember the last World Cup and the German boys impressioned the whole world with their talent. At the moment, the main players in this position are: Mesut Özil (Real Madrid), Thomas Müller and Toni Kroos (Bayern Munich). Actually, on DFB page there's alot of young players on main team, I'll write about them in the next post.

1. Thomas Müller

Müller was a sucess on last World Cup. But only two years before that, the young player was unknown even in his own land. In one year player took off! He arrived to the Bayern main team for the 2009/2010 season, when he showed his talent for world at the European fields.

2010 was a golden year fot Thomas Müller. He played on March his first match with the Mannschaft shirt, he was one of the most important players in his team on World Cup, he received the Hyundai Best Young Player Award in South Africa and his 5 goals and 2 appearences has gave to him the Golden Boots Award, all that for a 20 years old footballer! Only Pelé overwhelms him with six goals in Sweden in 1958 when he was 17 years old and .Incredible! =D

Currently he’s playing in his team Bayern Munich the Bundesliga (German championiship) and the UEFA Champions League. For the last comp, the next game is against Inter.  We hope see more a Thomas Müller show!

2. Mesut Özil

Intelligence, ability, class are only some word for describe the Özil style at the field. At the end of World cup  the majority of the biggest Europeam teams wanted to have the boy from Gelsenkirchen. But who won the dispute was José Mourinho and now the Özil is a “galatic”, and with Cristiano ronaldo, Di maria and others awesome players., he is the fans hope titles.

The footballer of Turkish descent participated of U-21 European title in 2009. On 2009/2010 Bundesliga season, the player scored 13 goals and had 8 appearances in werder Bremen, his old team. And now, the footballer is one of the mais pieces of Mourinho in Real Madrid because of the criativity that he brings to the middle of the team. It’s better the Brazilians open the eyes coz Neymar and Ganso aren’t the only young awesome players in this world! :P

3. Toni Kroos

 

I already have a post here about Toni Kroos, so I’ll write less about this player. He played the U-17 World Cup on 2007 and won the award like the best footballer of the competition. In the 2009/2010 season, when he was only 19 years old, the young boy was already a professional and was a sucess on Bayer Leverkusen team. He also was in last World cup with the German team and in currently season he’s playing in the biggest team from germany with Thomas Müller. Kroos isn’t more the German football future but already is the present. As the Bayern as the German National team needs him on middlefield.
